The Delaware Gives™ platform is used to facilitate an annual 24 hour day of giving that Spur Impact, United Way of Delaware and many others helps organize called Do More 24 Delaware Gives Day. Since March 2020, thousands of generous donors used the Delaware Gives™ platform to support more than 600 nonprofits during the statewide #DoMore24DE day of giving, with over $7million in gifts. In the 96 non-consecutive hour periods, over 44,000 donors expressed their appreciation for nonprofits by donating to their favorite causes. Some outcomes from the March 2023 event
$2.3M+ raised in 24 hours
524 different nonprofits serving Delaware raised $5 or more
17,000+ donations from 50 states (including DC, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands) and 11 countries
32% of donors self-reported as being first time donors to that organization
#DoMore24DE generated more than 3 million impressions on Twitter and Instagram over four consecutive 24 hours.
The success of this statewide initiative showcases the value Delawareans and the local business community place on the nonprofits in our region. It’s a testament to the generosity of our community as well. The remarkable support of the event proves that philanthropy is alive and well in Delaware.
