Do More 24 Delaware Empowers Delaware Center for the Inland Bays to Raise Funds, Engage Donors, and Drive Community Impact

Do More 24 Delaware is a 24 hour day of giving designed to help nonprofits raise more money and engage new donors. Participating allowed Delaware Center for the Inland Bays to raise funds and contribute to their mission of preserving, protecting and restoring the Inland Bays. As a national estuary program, the center prioritizes fundraising for initiatives focused on youth environmental education, species surveys, oyster reef construction, and more. Collaborating with Spur Impact and United Way of Delaware has paved new ways to raise awareness for the Inland Bays and fundraise for the protection of the local watershed.

While Marina Feeser, development specialist, and Mark Carter, development director, generally brainstorm their own unique ways of fundraising, Do More 24 DE was a way to change things up. They were all for joining an event that's mission is to do good for the community. “It’s been really great. The Do More team engages with us a lot and tries to help the best they can to help promote what we’re doing. We’ve enjoyed working with them and they’ve definitely helped us hit our goals!” added Carter.

Since partnering with Do More 24 DE, the center has taken advantage of the Delaware Gives platform, offering donors a seamless mode of donating. Being on the DE Gives site has provided them with another avenue of being discovered.

According to Feeser and Carter, the Do More 24 DE team is easy to work with, helpful, and communicative. The partnership has overall been positive! “We’ve enjoyed working with the team. It has helped us increase our outreach and find new donors. We hope that they keep exploring how to innovate and help other organizations,” concluded Carter.
