Do More 24 Delaware 2025 Shatters Records, Raising Over $2.5 Million for Local Nonprofits

Delaware’s largest day of giving, Do More 24 Delaware 2025, raised more than $2.5 million for nonprofits across the state. The 24-hour event, which ran from 6 p.m. on March 6 to 6 p.m. on March 7, saw contributions from over 22,000+ donors, the highest number of donors since the initiative began, from every zip code in Delaware and across the country.

Organized jointly by United Way of Delaware (UWDE) and Spur Impact, the annual giving day highlighted the power of community generosity and collaboration. The public was invited to support their favorite nonprofit by donating at DoMore24Delaware.org. This year, over 600 nonprofits set up individual fundraising pages on the Do More 24 Delaware platform, supported by more than $350,000 in matching gifts, cash prizes, and incentives from nearly three dozen sponsor organizations.

Tierra Fair, Vice President of Engagement and Partnerships at UWDE, emphasized the importance of nonprofit collaboration and community involvement. “When nonprofits come together, they have the power to transform communities, uplift families, and tackle the challenges we face every day,” Fair said. “Do More 24 Delaware has once again shown just how generous and connected our state truly is. Thousands of donors stepped up to support the organizations that make a real difference, whether it’s after-school programs, food assistance, or environmental support. The services we rely on are made possible because people choose to give back. When we invest in our nonprofits, we’re investing in a stronger, more vibrant Delaware for all of us.”

Since its inception, Do More 24 Delaware has raised over $12 million for Delaware’s nonprofits. According to Charlie Vincent, Executive Director of Spur Impact, rising costs and growing demands on community services make individual giving more critical than ever. He added, “individual giving has never been more critical for the survival of many Delaware nonprofits. Over the years, the Do More 24 Delaware giving day has helped raise more than $12 million to support hundreds of nonprofits, proving itself as a powerful driver of individual philanthropy in the state. We are grateful that so many nonprofits rely on this event as a key part of their fundraising strategy, and we hope donors continue their support of these causes beyond today through volunteerism and advocacy.”

The event’s success was made possible by the support of sponsors from across the state, some including Barclays, Discover Bank, Carl M. Freeman Foundation, the Delaware Division of the Arts, Crestlea Foundation, Delaware Community Foundation, Laffey-McHugh Foundation, Longwood Foundation, and Welfare Foundation.
