Q: Can you introduce yourself?

A: I am the Executive Director & Co- Founder of Network Connect. You can learn more here: https://www.networkconnect.org/about

Q: What is the best career advice you ever received?

A: “Just learn how to get stuff done.” Many will plan, complain, and even delegate, few will move to passionate action.  Daily, I take steps to move forward effectively.

Q: What compelled you to enter your field?

A: Family! My family has been my “why” for choosing my field and later starting a nonprofit.

Q: What’s one industry-specific thing you wish you knew when you started?

A: Passion can often outweigh skill. People who are connected to the cause through lived experiences will learn the skills needed to be impactful when given the opportunity to do so.

Q: What trends do you see dramatically influencing the work in your industry?

A: Society is constantly breaking stigmas related to mental and behavioral health. We have a lot of work to do but collectively we have come a long way.

Q: What’s a common myth about your industry/job?

A: Organizations competing for funds cannot collaborate. We debunk this myth with our collective impact work.
