Spur Impact is Thrilled to Welcome Amy Green as Full-Time Program Success Manager!

At Spur Impact, we believe that leadership is built through meaningful connections and that strong networks transform careers. That is why we are excited to announce that Amy Green has officially joined the Spur Impact team in a full-time role as our Program Success Manager! Amy has worked with us in a part-time capacity since July 2025 as a Spur Impact Fellow, but her journey with us actually began through the very thing we champion every day: proactive networking and grassroots leadership.

Here is how Amy took her professional journey into her own hands:

After graduating college during the pandemic, I returned home to work as a long-term substitute teacher at Woodbridge Middle School. For the next few years, I served as a Business Development Specialist with a local nonprofit serving adults with disabilities. I reached a point in my professional journey where I knew I wasn't moving forward and needed a change. I searched for jobs for years, to no avail. I interviewed for probably 200 positions over the course of two years. After so many rejections from final round interviews and hearing the same phrase over and over again, "You were great, but we went with someone with more experience" I realized I didn't need a better resume. I needed a better network. 

In early 2024, I dedicated hours to searching for networking and professional development events in Sussex County. New Castle County had some options but not without the two-hour commute each way! After coming up empty for months, I decided to host my first networking event for emerging professionals like myself. I recruited three of my personal, seasoned mentors and asked them to sit on a panel where I could ask them questions about their careers and development. On July 13th, 2024, I hosted the first Emerging Young Professionals Panel & Social event at Amity Coffee Roasters in Greenwood. I had no idea what the turnout would be. I made my own flyer and blasted it on social media and posted it in libraries. On the day of, 13 young professionals from across Sussex County attended. I saw the power of networking firsthand. People who didn't know me came to the event to strengthen their own networks. The flyer had reached beyond my network and pulled folks into what would become a series of networking events across Kent and Sussex Counties. 

I initially connected with Jenn from Spur Impact in August 2024 through a mutual friend who attended the very first panel. Then, in July 2025, Jenn and Charlie asked to meet with me regarding the Fellowship role. They had seen my work across Delaware and hoped to harness my efforts for Spur Impact's mission since we aligned so closely to empower the next generation of leaders. 

During my stint as Spur Impact Fellow, I worked closely with Jenn, Charlie, and our AmeriCorps members to successfully run several key programs like Do More 24 DE, SILS, and Get On Board. I also launched a Running & Walking Club to get folks moving while connecting. All of these efforts culminated in a full-time position this past summer when Spur Impact was able to add a third full-time role of Program Success Manager. I am excited to continue the programming Spur Impact has worked tirelessly to build and to move forward with new projects, new ideas, and an everlasting appreciation for the First State and the people who make it great. 

Amy’s story is a powerful reminder that taking ownership of your leadership journey often starts with reaching out and building a seat at the table. The Spur Impact Board and team are thrilled to officially welcome Amy full-time as we continue expanding our mission, empowering emerging leaders, and strengthening professional networks across the entire state of Delaware.
