Christofer Johnson, Esq. is originally from Philadelphia, PA. He graduated with a B.S. in Economics from the University of Delaware's Lerner College of Business and Economics in 2007, and earned his J.D. from Widener University in 2009. He was recently appointed as Deputy Legal Counsel for the Office of Delaware Governor John Carney. Chris' work with the Governor's Office is varied and includes advising the Governor and Senior Cabinet officials on legislative and legal affairs and also overseeing complex litigation for the entire State of Delaware.

 

Prior to joining the Governor's Office, Chris served as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Wilmington, where he both represented the City in complex civil litigation and advised several City boards, commissions, and public officials. Chris is admitted to the bars of Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

 

He is very active in the legal community and serves on the Board of Directors of the Delaware Center for Justice and as Chair of the Multicultural Judges and Lawyers Section of the Delaware State Bar Association. Chris also is a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem with the Delaware Office of Child Advocate.

 

He is a competitor by nature, and in his spare time enjoys CrossFit as well as recreational softball and basketball. Chris and his wife live in Wilmington.
